At the start of the school year, high school students from the St.Mary Central High School will be having a mobile experience instead of the face-to-face classroom setting.

The Menasha based Private Catholic high school will launch its One to One Laptop Program this Monday. The program will provide students with the handy technology as an additional for the education curriculum.

This means a more personalized environment as students will be able to bring laptops to their homes for the majority of the year. Students like the idea of bringing with them a laptop because they want to do their own thing; according to one freshman.

The private high school plans to incorporate educational technology into the present curriculum and looks forward to utilize e-texts in substitute when books became obsolete. Patrick Batey, SMC principal explains that today’s measurement of literacy is no longer writing and reading only, but as well as being knowledgeable with technology.

Distractions can come along during class hours; in order to prevent such disruptions, the school will block some sites such as Youtube and Facebook during school period. But teachers can utilize such sites for online education resources such as multimedia, mp3 and videos.

The distribution of laptops will be on the school opening for seventy-six entering freshmen while juniors and sophomores will be on the second semester. The school implemented such method of distribution based on a study and they anticipate that next year all students will have their own laptops.

In order to cope up with the cost, SMC will lease each laptop an amount of $800 for 4 years; the price of each laptop. Parents will have an option either to buy the laptop after four years at the cost of one dollar, or return the computer to the school. Administrators made this option to provide discount for the families.

Private schools are continually fighting back against the public school supporters that continually seek on of convincing provincial government upon stopping their private schools funding. With that, B.C. School of Trustees Association have just recently passed on a mere resolution towards asking Ministry of Education upon redirecting those finances that been spent on to independent schools for their public educational system as its mere annual general meeting last month of April 23 until 25. This subject that been generated in this hour long have entirely came from a certain debate and their vote was already been close but their mere resolution was been carried upon. Most of the private schools that have received between 35 and 50% into this per students funding includes this public school learners that will be getting upon. The tuition on the top portion entirely varies from just about $2,000 in yearly basis until $23,000. Last month of March, Federal of Independent School Association was already sending its members for an 11 point defense upon funding these private schools that typically calling themselves as independent schools. Since, the letter that been stated in regards to this educational program have entirely offered through this independent sector is the education system for public good and government will provide finances for non governmental sector that will be considered as mere common way upon providing services for their respective public good.

In obvious manner for the long run, if we entirely say nothing in regards to this pressure from just one side will entirely prevail so were entirely be pushing it backward according to Fred Herfst who is the executive director of this Federal of Independent School Associations last Monday. Federation entirely represents about 285 independent schools of B.C. that enrolls 64,000 learners and about 92% of this independent school enrollment will be in the province. There will be about a total of 350 independent schools that registers 70,000 learners. Herfst also argues that funding on this cut; the tuition fees for most private schools would entirely climb through just least of mere amount that they will be getting through per pupil for about $3,500. Various parents can’t entirely afford these aspects and parents would eventually be going into this public sector. Now, public would be getting finances for it; its quite true that they would also getting its cost for education that learners and B.C.STA as mere resolution that eventually does not look for its mere cost that they would eventually be getting through upon educating learners if their mere funding was entirely been cut on. They also thinking that gaining on towards this public school would become a mere fact that will be considered as quite very little aspect.
Federation also represents wider varieties of independent schools that includes the Vancouver Talmud Torah, Fraser Academy that deals on with those learners that have learning disabilities especially dyslexia, Khalsa School, York House, Vancouver Montessori School, Catholic Schools and Point Grey Academy. According to the opinion of Herfst that, the way people will eventually be talking in regards to this independent schools they won’t even think as a mere broad range of schools. Since, they don’t entirely think the special needs of schools that they got and they don’t entirely be thinking about the Catholic schools that have been into this community for already 50, 60, 70 years long. Aside of that, they wont entirely be thinking the smaller Montessori schools. The B.C. private schools have just begin getting public funding in the year 1977, during the time that government have merely agreed upon funding 30% level that have already climbed for just about 35% in the year 1986. In this year of 1989, the governments have already changes its policy of allowing 35 or just about 50% funding that merely depends on its school. B.C. Liberals are not also be considering changing its own policy. As of now, the government had strongly supports that variety of this educational selection includes public schools, distance learning, home schooling and independent schools. This statement been released by the Education Marketing Minister Margaret MacDiarmid towards the Courier.

With this fewer high school learners that will be continually taking on this bus rather than expecting it, the Wesley educational learning institutes officials are entirely considering of cutting on this some buses towards supporting those close to their projected $1.6 million gaps in this financial budget for this fiscal year of 2011. With this, the Superintendent Bella Wong had entirely made on this recommendation to this School Committee upon meeting on this Tuesday night. They have projected their educational learning institutes budget in this fiscal year of 2011 that will be about $1.6 million for just more than what been recommended in season through this Advisory Committee of this financial panel. In this, last spring season of School Committee that been added for about just two more buses towards this four existing buses of this Wellesley High due to their learners that been parking was just entirely but being eliminated during the time of construction of this newer educational learning institutes. With that, this prices of buses for their high schools was entirely been lowered for about $473 until to $250.

Despite of this increase of bus passes of sales, numbers of learners had continually ride on this bus upon going to their respective educational learning institutes that had already stayed in this same year from the previous years. Upon eliminating this two additional buses would entirely save about $167, 218. In this advisory committee that been recommended for about 1% upon the increase of next year’s municipal financial budget and about 2.25% increase for this School Department. With that, the advisory have entirely understand that this financial budget entirely process will become unquestionable just more than to the last year that it entirely requires even more challenging and even painful choices according to this Advisory Committee of their letter in this Town departments. This environment that been provided also wanted towards stressing on the needs for this individual departments upon preparing for making an additional reduction from this levels that been targeting nowadays. With this increase of financial budget cut entirely comes from its utilities, contracts, and from the salary obligations, the regular replacements, replenishments, the maintenance of their programs, circuits for their breaker reduction and even towards those special tuition and to its transportation. With that, upon the addition of this high school buses Wong will also be examining some possibilities upon cutting on towards this school wide expenses that includes those newer library books, membership financial fees for their educational districts collaborative, and for their professional improvement.

With that, they had been talking on much deeper hit as much as possible of these expenses. This costs of educational preschools and to its summer transportation and for their number of educational elementary school specialists are now entirely been examined as well. So, even taking on these aspect will be put into some consideration neither it will become sufficient. As a result to this state financial reduction upon the circuit breaker of this reimbursement of funds that been used towards this school district tuition fees especially intended for their special education which become the Advisory Committee that will entirely recommend for about $750,000 that entirely be allocated to this School Department towards easing this burden of this reduction from their state. With that, this School Department will now be expecting about $325,000 from their stimulus funds that entirely be allocated towards their textbooks. So their school departments have already been proposing some educational facilities that will entirely be operating this financial budget for about $75,115 for over this Advisory Guideline, about $20,000 for these hand sanitizers. So, adding on this hand sanitizers towards this education program institutes that will serve as an expense that been incurred due to the rising of this H1N virus. So, they didn’t even know of how long this H1N1 will entirely be stranding on for lasting up. With that, there most prudent aspect upon doing it will serve as a budget.

Even when recession is challenging private high schools in the United States and other countries of the world, still these schools owned by private companies and corporations manage to face the challenge head on. Although many of these schools have confirmed their operation is a little bit shaken by the recession.

In Asheville, the private high schools remain steadfast and steady despite day to day challenges as a result of the recession which now created attention in many schools world wide. In fact, a few months ago, private schools began bracing themselves to survive the crisis brought about by lower enrollment numbers, more requests for financial aids as well as decreasing endowments. It is also observed in some states of the US that the falling endowments as well as the increased demands for scholarships, is not threatening parents to sacrifice the private education of their children.

Andrew Hirt, Asheville School admission director, said instead of getting affected by the recession the schools still manage to enroll considerable number of students and they are even hitting the maximum expected student capacity. He said students are returning because they believe in the school’s very distinctive value.

Hirt is even very hopeful that the Asheville School, which is a boarding high school, will still experience the much awaited highest retention rate. The record shows that of the 200 recorded families there are now 186 returning which is a very good ratio because it is 93 percent retention rate. He said at least 88 percent of the school’s students return every year. The Rainbow Mountain Children’s School is also expected to retain its enrolled students this year according to a very reliable source.

Stephen Robinson, Southern Association of Independent Schools also said most of their private schools experienced consistent enrollment ratio and called this a very promising turn out of students for this year. He said this only means that the parents of these students have committed to private education because they want quality. They don’t mind the high cost of education in private schools as long as they are assured their children get the best education.
