surveillanceBoth the high school juniors and seniors in Eastern School District are now under the watch of surveillance camera. These camera were been installed over summertime. Meanwhile, Western School Board had already got its surveillance camera that been installed three years ago. According to Kevin Whitrow who is the principal of this Colonel Gray High School of Charlottetown who got several surveillance around their campus schools were not intended of spying on students but rather to look on the entire welfare and safety of the entire students and as well to the building establishment itself. No one in the educational learning institutes got a time of watching over several cameras that covers on properties both in the inside or out over the courses of days. But if some undesirable incidents will occur, some fight, or any vandalism; with that the video will be a good support upon reviewing the entire scene before arriving for any conclusion.

According to Whitrow that there were times that its not anymore necessary of trying to unfold over some incidents but these aspects are not norms. Since, the norm would entirely be the usage of normal means upon resolving on conflicts and come up a good resolution towards on it. Aside of that also, in several cases cameras provide support of understanding about the entire and exact that happened over some events but in most cases also that will not be the application. As a result, the safest place that surveillance cameras will be put in the main center of the classroom. Since, it been seen that its already enough of monitoring both welfare and safety of faculty members, educators, students and the entire people within the vicinity of school campus without invading or intruding the personal lives of people.

Although, there are still people who are thinking and feeling awkward or feeling of invasion of privacy just like the Amy MacMillan who is still quite resistant about these surveillance camera. But Cameron MacDonald also commented that it’s a good idea to have these cameras in their institutes as long the core purpose of having it is to protect everyone that is inside the school campus and to its facilities and not to invade the private lives of people. Next year, its been intended that cameras will now be going towards the elementary eastern district schools as part of expanding technological maximum security system for their students who continually taking their education program, for the teachers, faculty members and to those people who will be coming inside and out of the school.
