High School Diplomas

High schools diplomas are very important as they become part of the requirements when you enrol for college or any other endeavour in which you are required to submit diplomas. Even in some work assignments you are to present your diploma.

Below are different types of high schools diplomas. They actually vary from school to school, although in most states in the US as well as in other countries around the world the decisions about diploma requirements are made by state education officials.

Technical/vocational Diploma – If you want to enrol in this kind of learning institution you are required to complete from six months up to two years education before you can secure your graduation diploma. This means you have satisfactorily completed the schooling and apprenticeship requirements of the school, thus you are handed down with certificate of completion or diploma.

Boarding school Diploma – In most boarding high schools in the US, students should finish at least four years there before they are given their completion diplomas. The counting of completion is not in the hours but on the required years in boarding schools.

Online education Diploma – There are also online high schools for education online and, mostly in the US and other progressive countries around the world, for specialized courses in photography, design, graphics, fashion design and other skills. The schooling period usually takes six months to two years.

Traditional college prep – This is the college preparatory course offered in both private and government institutions. Others call this traditional institution or day schools. If you have completed at least three or four comprehensive studies you will be given your diploma after graduation. There are state-mandated curricula in which you should comply if you wish to get your diploma.

Study abroad diploma - If you are given the privilege to study abroad for a language immersion learning program or any programs abroad you can also obtain your diploma after finishing the study.

Student exchange program – Private and Public high schools students who are luckily chosen for a student exchange program in other countries are also likely to receive their diplomas after completing an one-year exchange program.
