High Schools Financial Aid
High schools financial aid is a vital component for the success of many students in the US and other countries around the world. This is especially for students that are having financial difficulties. Many government of the world have seen this need so they see to that more percentage is given to student's financial aid.
The following are types of privileges that may be granted to qualified students in both public and private high schools. Through this you will be able to understand what type of privilege you would like to benefit.
Grants
These are privileges which are usually projects of the national government in a certain country. Students who were awarded grants are no longer paying the amount of money they have spent through the grant program. Most of the grant program comes from the government. However, in some cases there are also non-government organizations (NGOs), foundations and private groups that sometimes give grants to qualified students. Grants may be given in the form of study grants abroad or locally.
Scholarships
Scholarship is another privilege granted to qualified students whether in private or public high schools and there are also many kinds of scholarships. In most schools they have the so-called academic scholars where the gauge to qualify students is the entrance examination result. When students qualify and are officially granted with an academic scholar by the school they have to maintain a general point average according to what the high schools want. Usually, the schools want at least 85 percent of the total GPA for the students to continue their studies until graduation. Scholars are also not going to pay back the finances incurred during the course of the program. In many countries of the world there are different types of scholarships such as scholarship for indigenous people, the physically-handicapped, school varsity players, athletes, English and Literature drama guild, science and math scholars, etc.
Loans
Student loan program is where many governments of the world put up a huge budget every year. Those poor but deserving students irregardless of economic status are entitled to apply for student loans. The basic example for this program is the Federal Student Aid of the US which caters to both private and public high schools. Since this is a loan program, the students after graduation are paying back the money with corresponding interests which is only very little. This is done so that the funds will remain intact and it can also give chance to other students.
