Academy for Excellence in Leadership

Overview written by the school: Formerly the Academy for Environmental Leadership, we are a nurturing learning community that drives our students to excellence and teaches them how to be responsible leaders. We define a LEADER as Loving, Empowered, Altruistic, Driven, Enthusiastic, and a Role Model. Every student is a leader that is held to the highest standard and has constant opportunities for intellectual engagement. As we prepare our leaders for the world beyond high school, our students are empowered to take on leadership roles via partnerships with programs that focus on the arts, socio-emotional growth, career development and college readiness. Our instruction is student-centered, and students work with one another on relevant, real-world topics, using technology.
