Our focus on college begins in the summer STEM program prior to 9th grade and builds each year as students are given the opportunity to earn college credits through our Advanced Placement (AP) and CUNY College Now programs. In the four years at Astor, students will develop and refine skills in critical thinking, inquiry, and collaborative approaches as they learn to self-advocate and take responsibility for their own learning. Academic opportunities:

Incoming 9th grade students are strongly encouraged to register for the July Summer STEM program.

All students are required to take four years of science and math classes. All students are required to wear PE uniform.

Students may be programmed into Advanced Placement (AP) and College Now classes beginning their sophomore year.
