Gotham Professional Arts Academy

Overview written by the school: We are a small high school with strong community ties focused on arts and arts-related professions. As a consortium school with a Regents waiver from the state, our students complete five Performance Assessment Tasks (PBATs) instead of Regents but still earn a Regents diploma. ICT classrooms with two teachers ensure students with IEPs receive personalized support in meeting their academic and social-emotional goals. We value social justice and use Restorative Justice practices. We take frequent class trips. We are a Community Learning School site, which brings resources to our school like Peer Group Connection mentoring program, cooking, fashion, dance, and drama clubs, and connections to after school and summer programs all over NYC.
