Program description: Liberty High School for Newcomers is a small school grades 9-12 for newly or recently arrived immigrant students who want to learn English and experience a well-rounded comprehensive education. We ONLY offer a stand-alone English as a New Language (ENL) program that helps get students ready for NYS Regents Exams. Our educational program is rigorous and includes participation with AP4ALL through the office of Access and Equity. LHS offers 5-7 AP courses per year with a summer institute to get students started.

Eligibility: Open only to New York City residents who currently identify as English Language Learners (ELL), have lived in the continental United States fewer than four years, and are willing to participate in an English as a New Language (ENL) stand-alone program.
