Lower Manhattan Arts Academy

Overview written by the school: LoMA is a small, multicultural college preparatory arts school that focuses on academic and artistic development and excellence. We believe that all students are intrinsically curious, and capable of achieving at high levels. We support each student's intellectual, emotional, and social growth with the goal of success in a four-year college or career. These expectations require that all students take additional math, science, reading, internship, and arts classes. Every student must also take part in an extended-day program at least twice a week. To support our students' success at meeting these higher standards, we maintain an intimate, nurturing community with a large number of adults challenging amd supporting our students.
