Manhattan Village Academy

Overview written by the school: Our mission is to prepare our students to have access to the best colleges, universities, and careers in the country through a disciplined education in the liberal arts, math, and sciences. All incoming 9th grade students and 10th grade transfer students are strongly advised to attend the Critical Thinking Academy in July to prepare them with the foundation of Critical Thinking needed to succeed in their Portfolio classes (which are based on performance-based assessments) as well as in their Regents classes. Students without this foundation have historically been at an academic deficit in being prepared for college-level work, as a result.
