The Maxine Greene High School for Imaginative Inquiry

Overview written by the school: The Maxine Greene High School for Imaginative Inquiry (MGHS) is a learning community in which deep engagement with works of art enhances the imaginative capacity of all students. In partnership with The Maxine Greene Institute our teachers work with the Institute's Teaching Artists to explore Imaginative Inquiry across the curriculum. Since we opened in 2005, we have partnered with Lincoln Center Education. Through our Restorative Practices, we work to foster the sense of self-worth, empathy, and agency necessary for students to become participatory citizens who will create a more just, humane, and vibrant world.
