Park Slope Collegiate

Overview written by the school: We believe that students learn best in a diverse and integrated environment where they can compare what they think with the knowledge of adults and their classmates. Students learn to read, write and think critically, debate, and develop new knowledge and ideas. Through CUNY's PERC program, peer tutors work alongside teachers in algebra and living environment courses. Students in every grade can participate in writing and theater workshops with the Atlantic Theater Company teaching artists. Social studies teachers engage students in projects and seminars culminating in our Senior Brooklyn History exhibit. Weekly Circles of 10-15 students and 1 faculty create the community and camaraderie essential to a truly integrated school.
