Urban Assembly School for Global Commerce, The

Overview written by the school: UASGC provides students with a career-centered, college-preparatory education focused on business and engineering pathways in the field of global commerce. Our small size ensures that all students are known well and strongly supported by their teachers in and out of the classroom. Industry partners provide students with paid internships starting as early as 10th grade. Students go on frequent field trips to industry sites to learn about different career pathways. Class sizes are small, with a focus on collaborative learning through rigorous coursework. AP Courses are offered starting in 10th grade, along with two language programs in Spanish and Mandarin (Chinese). Eleventh graders can attend Hostos Community College for college coursework.
